<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail in which a support rod of a handrail main body formed to be integrated with a rotary base is so constructed that the rotating speed of the rotary base is limited by a braking mechanism, thereby gently de-energizing the support rod from the storing position to the horizontal state to be drawn out. SOLUTION: A movable handrail comprises a bracket 5 having a storing stopper 14 and a locking stopper 13 interposed between a pair of plates, a rotary base 3 rotatably pivoted in a gap of the bracket 5, and a support rod 2 formed to be integrated with the rotary base 3 to be turned from the vertical attitude to the horizontal attitude. The handrail further comprises a braking mechanism 12 connected to the rotary base 3, wherein the rotating speed of the rotary base 3 is limited by the braking mechanism 12, whereby the support rod 2 of the handrail main body is gently de-energized from the storing position to the horizontal state to be drawn out.</p> |
