<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve torque characteristics by forming nine salient poles, forming nine slots between the salient poles, containing a plurality of armature windings, which are wound around the respective salient poles at least one by one, and constituting the brushless DC motor having ten poles and nine slots. SOLUTION: Field magnetic flux is generated by a ring-shaped field magnet having ten magnetic poles. Furthermore, as the means for forming a rotating magnetic field, an armature iron core 22, wherein nine salient poles 23 and slots 24 are formed, nine armature windings 25, which are wound around the respective salient poles 23, and field protrusions 26, which are attached to the outer surface of the field magnet 21. In this case, the field magnet 21 is constituted of the ring-shaped permanent magnet, which is magnetized in the radial direction so that ten magnetic polses are arranged at the equal interval in the circumferential direction and the neighboring magnetic poles are magnetized in the opposite polarities to each other.
