The floating trap consists of two access ramps (1), which are equipped with floats (2), which are adjustable to allow the floating height of the trap to be adjusted. A central container (3) is maintained at a required level by the parallelepiped floats (4) and is formed below two tipping traps (5), which are covered with a slippery material. The sensitivity of the tipping mechanism is regulated by the moving centre weight (6) and the two traps operate independently with the bait carrier in the form of gallows (8). The traps are made to operate together by means of the bait carrier in the form of a balance arm (14). Two side channels (9), equipped with long floats, serve as refuge for the captured animals.
