<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrificating and denitrificating method and the device capable of efficiently performing both nitrification reaction requiring an aerobic state and denitrification reaction requiring anaerobic state in a single tank. SOLUTION: Many carriers 32, on which nitrification bacteria and denitrification bacteria are coexist, included and immobilized, are charged into the nitrification and denitrification tank 14, in which a waste water flows, and the quantity of aeration from an aeration pipe line 16 is controlled with a controller 24 basing on the measured value by a dissolved oxygen meter 22 so that the dissolved oxygen concentration in the waste water in the nitrification and denitrification tank 14 becomes 0.1-1.5mg/l and as a result, both nitrification and denitrification are performed in the same carrier by using an aerobic zone formed on the surface part of the carrier 32 and an anaerobic zone formed in the inside part of the carrier 32.</p> |
