<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically restore a device from jam failure, despite the damage of a paper sheet, double fed or jammed, by a crumple or breakage. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a first carrying roller 10: for carrying paper sheets guided by a paper sheet guiding part 11, and a second carrying roller 5: equipped on the upstream side of a printing part 2, for printing given printing data on the paper sheet carried by the roller 10, to carry the paper sheets to the printing part 2. Moreover, the carrying roller 5 has an excistion part 5A, excised part of a roller outer peripheral part. In addition, the following means are equipped on the downstream side of the carrying roller 10, jamming detecting means 7A and 9A: for detecting the existence of jammed paper sheets uncarried to the printing part 2, and a removing means: when the jammed paper sheets are detected by these jamming detecting means 7A and 9A, making control for positioning the excision part 5A of the carrying roller 5 on the abutting surface 5B side of the paper sheet guiding part 11, and removing the jammed paper sheet in a direction nearly parallel to the carrying roller 5.</p> |
