<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the mounting of a power outputting device to a vehicle and to efficiently output the power, which is outputted from a prime mover, to a driving shaft. SOLUTION: A power outputting device 100 is provided with an engine 102, a double-pinion planetary gear 110, a motor MG1, and a motor MG2. A ring-gear 114 of the double-pinion planetary gear 110 is connected to a crank shaft 104 of the engine 102, a planetary carrier 126 is connected to a driving shaft 108 and the motor MG2, and a sun gear 112 is connected to the motor MG1. In the forward part of the vehicle, the engine 102, the motor MG2, the double- pinion planetary gear 110, and the motor MG1 are arranged in turn from the front. Since the motor MG2 required the torque higher than that for the motor MG1, the size (of the motor MG2) tends to become large. However, by arranging the motor MG2 in the vicinity of the engine 102, the diameter (of the motor MG2) can be made larger, so that the size of the device can be made compact as a whole.</p> |
