PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the moving speed of a pointing cursor or to apply a physical resistance on a pointing device itself according to the state of the variable of an application program or the load of the CPU of a calculator or the like. SOLUTION: A state amount outputted from a state amount time sequential change outputting means 101 at a calculator 100 side is converted into a physical resistance value by a state amount/physical resistance value converting means 102, and transmitted as an electric signal by a physical resistance value/electric signal converting means 103. The received signal is converted into the physical resistance value by an electric signal/physical resistance value converting means 201 at a pointing device 200 side, and resistance is applied to the pointing device 200 by a physical resistance generating means 202 so that the physical resistance value is obtained.
