<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball which gives a fine feeling of striking a ball and also good controllability and whose flying performance and anti-cut property lie at a satisfactory level. SOLUTION: A golf ball has a core 1 and a cover 2 enclosing the core 1, wherein the resin as base material of the cover 2 is chiefly composed of a heated mixture consisting of ionomer resin and styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer having a polybutadiene block containing epoxy radical or a styrene- isoprene-styrene block copolymer block copolymer having a polyisoprene block containing epoxy radical, and the bending rigidity of the compound for the cover should range 50 to 300MPa while Shore D hardness range 40 to 60.</p> |
