<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly attract an armature by enhancing the magnetic flux density of a magnet closed circuit formed by the energization of an electromagnetic clutch to a coil. SOLUTION: The solenoid 50 of an electromagnetic clutch CL comprises an annular coil 52, an annular coil housing 47 to cover the radial peripheral surface in a radial direction, inner circumferential surface in the radial direction and axial one end surface of the coil 52, and an armature 54 attracted to one end surface of the coil housing 47 by energization to the coil 52, and the axial other end surface of the coil housing 47 is projected to an axial direction by distance L further than the axial other end surface of the coil 52. Hereby, the magnetic resistance of the peripheral part of the coil 52 is reduced so as to enhance the magnetic flux density of a magnet closed circuit, and the armature 54 can be certainly attracted without increasing the power consumption of the coil 52.</p> |
