FIELD: preheating air and gas. SUBSTANCE: regenerative heat exchanger includes revolving rotor having radially and axially packed accumulating mass providing for high degree of sealing and reducing leaks if rotor 3 is provided with separate zones in form of shut-off chambers 13, 13a, 13b and 15 located between media used for heat exchange. Such regenerative heat exchanger operates in mode in which suction, locking, exhaust or blowing-out may be effected in accordance with built-up and measured pressures.
