PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basal hub (30) for attaching to an infusion base (10), the hub (30) including a fluid reservoir (34) and pressure actuating device (36).SOLUTION: A septum portion (38) of the reservoir (34) is configured to be opened by a flow cannula (16) that is in fluid communication with an infusion cannula (15) of the infusion base (10), when the basal hub (30) is attached to the infusion base (10). The pressure actuating device (36) applies pressure to the fluid reservoir (34), so that, when the septum portion (38) of the fluid reservoir (34) is pierced by the flow cannula (16), liquid stored in the fluid reservoir (34) is released from the fluid reservoir (34) into the infusion cannula (15) of the infusion base (10) via the flow cannula (16).
