PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery with high charge/ discharge property even in low temperature circumstances and no possibility of breakage of a separator during operation. SOLUTION: N-methylpyrrolidone solution in which polyamideimide as a binder is dissolved is added to a mixture of powder MgO with a diameter of 2 μm or so and powder polyethylene with a diameter of 1 μm and kneaded therewith to mold a proper thickness of sheet. The sheet is dipped in water to solve out N-methylpyrolidone therein for opening a through-hole in its trace. The sheet is pulled out of the water, dried and pressed. At this time, the thickness of the sheet is adjusted for separators 9, 9 to be 1 μm or more and 17 μm or less in thickness after pressed, preferably 1 μm-10 μm.
