PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of reducing the sticking loss of a polarizing plate to the minimum whose unit cost is increased due to the accomplishment of a high performance and a large-sized screen and also to provide the manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display device, polarizing plates are bonded to a substrate with a ultraviolet ray hardening resin bonding layer 9, the polarizing plate 6 placed on a back light unit side is not provided with an ultraviolet ray cutting layer, also, a polarizing plate having an ultraviolet ray cutting layer is used for the polarizing plate 5 formed on the substrate 2 which is not opposite to the back light unit and further, an ultraviolet ray cutting layer 10 is inserted between a back light unit 8 and the polarizing plate 6 placed on the back light unit side. |
