<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a liquid crystal display device formed by using active matrix substrates by multilayouts capable of improving the contrast unevenness characteristics of images and a counter substrate. SOLUTION: Display parts comprising polysilicon TFTs, additive capacitors, pixel electrodes, etc., and driving element parts 10 comprising signal sample hold circuit parts, perpendicular scanning circuit parts, etc., are formed on a guartz substrate 11 forming the plural active matrix substrates and, thereafter, an oriented layer forming soln. for forming first oriented layers 50 is applied only on the driving element parts 10 by an offset printing method and, in succession, an oriented layer forming soln. for forming second oriented layers 51 is applied only on the first oriented layers 50 after a short time of coating intervals, by which the surface of the oriented layers 51 comprising the first oriented layers 50 and the second alignment layers 51 are planarized.</p> |
