摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the shape in the top part of a rolled stock by estimating the uneven elongation of a rolled stock before the shape becomes possible to be measured by a shape meter and executing shape control so as to correct the elongation. SOLUTION: The measurement of the off-center amount (b) which is the difference between the mill center and the center of the rolled stock is started from the point of time when the tip 1 of the rolled stock passes through a rolling mill 2 and reaches a meandering detector 3. In a 1st calculating part 8, the estimated value L' of the amount of the uneven elongation is calculated from the measured off-center amount (b) and predetermined uneven elongation coefficient KL. In the 2nd calculating part 9, the target value EL is calculated from L' and predetermined leveling influence coefficientϕL. The target value EL is added to the output from a shape controller 13 in the 3rd calculating part 10, but the measurement with the shape meter 6 is not started and the output from the shape controller 13 is zero. Then, the target value EL is inputted as it is into the controller 11 and the hydraulic screw-down leveling device 12 is controlled.</p>
