<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make garbage undergo continuous fermentation so as to obtain good quality compost by charging a constant amount of garbage to one end of a garbage disposal tank every day and extracting compost from another end so as to keep balance of amounts of charge, extraction (20% of charge) and the remainder. SOLUTION: A treatment tank 11 having a U-shaped cross section, a top face closed by a top wall and front and rear ends closed by a front wall and a rear wall is horizontally secured on a base 10, and a charge opening 13 capable of being closed and opened by a lid is formed in a front end part of the top wall and an interior of the tank 11 is partitioned into a front fermentation chamber 19 long in an axial direction and a short rear retaining chamber 20 by a partition plate 17, and a porous plate 18 is installed in part of the partition plate 17 so as to make the fermentation chamber 19 and the retaining chamber 20 communicate with each other. A rotation center shaft 21 penetrating the partition plate 17 is installed in a center of a semicircle at a bottom of the tank 11 between the front wall and the rear wall and garbage agitation promoting blades 22 and raw material agitation blades 23 are radially mounted to a fermentation chamber 19 front half and a fermentation chamber 19 rear half of the rotation center shaft 21, respectively. A porous product outlet 24 is disposed in a bottom of the retaining chamber 20 and a product extraction tray 25 is disposed below the outlet 24.</p> |
