PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To curb power consumption by providing compound functions connected to a general purpose bus and restoring only necessary functions when operation is to be started from a sleep mode. SOLUTION: While a digital copier 1 is in a sleep mode, when a FAX signal of a telephone line is detected in a trigger detection section 101b of FAXI/F 101, a clock is supplied to the entirety of FAXI/F 101, enabling the reception of FAX data, FAX signal is outputted to the trigger detection section of a system controller 100 from FAXI/F 101, a clock is supplied to the entirety of the system controller 100, the system controller recognizes the reception of a FAX signal, a page memory selection signal is outputted to the trigger detection section 103b of a page memory 103 from the system controller 100, a clock is supplied to the entirely of the page memory 103, enabling the acceptance of FAX data. |
