摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a reactive power compensator which is constituted by combining a plurality of reactive power compensating circuits with each other for outputting the optimum compensating current from the remaining reactive power compensating circuits, even if the number of operated reactive power compensating circuits is decreased. SOLUTION: A first gain computing circuit 51 computes the quotient obtained when the number of installed reactive power compensating circuits is divided by the number of operated reactive power compensating circuits from inputted operated signal contacts 53. Then a multiplier 52 finds the product of the computed quotient and the reactive current of one of the reactive power compensating circuits outputted from a reactive current computing circuit 40, and a compensating current computing circuit 41 finds the compensating current command value corresponding to one circuit. Since a current adjuster 42 gives a control signal, which makes the actual compensating current value outputted from a three-phase inverter 37 match the compensating current command value for one circuit to the inverter 37, the remaining reactive power compensating circuits compensate for reactive power by outputting the optimum compensating current, even when some of the reactive power compensating circuit have stopped.
