摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multiport optical device which is compact and has small optical coupling loss. SOLUTION: A support body 97 for an optical fiber, a monolithic glass block 91, a lens 94, a filter 95, a lens 96, and a block 100 are arranged in series. The lenses 94 and 96 are 1/4-pitch collimation lenses. In the monolithic block 91, a 1×16 dividing network 92 is formed. The filter 95 reflects a light of wavelengthλ1 and allows a light of wavelengthλ2 to transmit. The block 100 has two fiber linear arrays 102 and 104 of 16-fiber ribbons. The incident light of a wavelengthλ2 from a single optical fiber is divided into 16 parts by the dividing network 92, passed through the lenses 94 and 96, and the filter 95, and coupled with the fiber array 102. The incident light of wavelengthλ1 from the fiber array 104 is reflected by the filter 95 and coupled with the fiber array 102, and the lights of wavelengthsλ1 andλ2 are multiplexed.
