PURPOSE:To obtain a chewable tablet, containing calcium, good in feeling the mouth and hardly causing the tableting disorder without performing any special treatment in a production process. CONSTITUTION:The objective chewable tablet containing calcium is obtained by including (A) 1-60wt.%, especially 20-35wt.% calcium salt, preferably an inorganic calcium salt, especially calcium carbonate, (B) 1-10wt.%, especially 3-6wt.% low-viscosity hydroxyalkyl cellulose having a viscosity within the range of <=50cP, especially 6 to 10cP at 20 deg.C when formed into a 2% aqueous solution and (C) 1-10wt.%, especially 3-6wt.% high-viscosity hydroxyalkyl cellulose having a viscosity within the range of >=150cP, especially 1000 to 4000cP at 20 deg.C when formed in a 2% aqueous solution at (1/1) to (3/2) weight ratio of the ingredients (B)/(C). Furthermore, at least one or more of an iron salt, a magnesium salt, vitamin C and vitamin E are blended in an amount within the range of 0.05-10wt.% in the tablet. |
