<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit device which has, e.g. a multi-channel serial interface circuit having stable characteristics mounted therein in a simple and reliable manner, and a method for designing the device. SOLUTION: A common part 19 in the form of a macro structure of signal transmission means 22, 24 and 26 or the like are previously buried, a plurality of types of macros 28, 29 and 30 each incorporating a receiver/transmitter 21 are prepared, terminals of the macros 19, 28, 29 and 30 are arranged so that, when the macros are positioned adjacent to each other, no wiring can be required or the adjacent macros can be interconnected with a minimum of wiring.</p> |
