PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricant composition that can maintain the fluid lubrication to the mixed lubrication close to the fluid lubrication and shows excellent abrasion resistance by adding a specific aryl phosphate and a specific unsaturated fatty acid amide to the lubricant base oil. SOLUTION: (A) A triaryl phosphate in which the aryl group is a phenyl group or an 1-9C alkyl phenyl group, preferably in an amount of 0.1-5.0 wt.% based on the whole amount of the composition, and (B) a 16-22C unsaturated fatty acid amide, preferably in an amount of 0.05-1.0 wt.%, in addition, preferably (C) a sulfur compound of the formula: R-Sx-R (R is a 4-18C alkyl or aryl; x is 2-5), for example, hydrocarbon polysulfide, olefin polysulfide, sulfurized fat and oil and/or (D) a chlorine compound for example, chlorinated paraffin, chlorinated methyl stearate or the like, preferably in an amount of 0.1-5.0%. In a preferred embodiment, this composition is used in a ceramic lubrication system. |
