摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an osteoporosis-risk factor for the early therapy of osteoporosis, the examination of the prevention of bone fracture, etc., by analyzing the genetic polymorphism of transforming growth factor β1 and detecting the presence of the osteoporosis-risk factor based on the analyzed result. SOLUTION: The analysis of genetic polymorphism of transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1) is carried out by a method to confirm the presence of a DNA fragment amplified by using a primer having a base sequence of formula I and formula II in an allele-specific PCR using a chromosome DNA as a template and the presence of the amplification of a DNA fragment amplified by using a primer having the base sequence of formula III and formula II. The osteoporosis-risk factor useful for the early therapy of osteoporosis, the examination of the prevention of bone fracture, etc., can be detected by the detection of the presence of the osteoporosis-risk factor based on the result of analysis. The TGF-β1 gene polymorphism has been found to have the action of osteoporosis-risk factor from the finding that the polymorphism has relationship to the bone salt quantity and the onset of osteoporosis.
