PURPOSE: A method for intermediating insurance service is provided to develop insurance service items in relation with commodities presented as contents on the internet and to receive an insurance subscription of a user in order to intermediate the user's subscription to the insurance. CONSTITUTION: A method for intermediating insurance service comprises the steps of a user accessing an electronic commerce service site over the internet(202), the user navigating the electronic commerce service site, and the server sending the user's personal information to a customer management database and an insurance service intermediation service system(204), the user purchasing a commodity in the electronic commerce site(206), the server issuing an insurance service request form(208), the user accessing a web server of an insurance service intermediation system(210), the web server receiving the personal information of the user and the purchased commodity information from the electronic commerce server(212), the web server extracting insurance service items appropriate for the user and offering the corresponding information to the user(214), the user selecting one among the insurance service items and the web server offering the personal information and the selected item to the insurance company system(216), and the insurance company sending the policy sheet to the user(218).
