PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic element and a battery with high durability by containing a specified wt.% of compound having iodine anions in a charge transfer layer in a semiconductor fine particle-containing layer of a specified range of thickness. SOLUTION: A coloring matter sensitized photoelectric conversion element is composed of a conductive supporter, a semiconductor fine particle-containing layer coated on the conductor supporter and adsorbing a coloring matter, a charge transfer layer, and a counter electrode, and the thickness of the semiconductor fine particle-containing layer is 2 μm or more but 8 μm or less, and 50 wt.% or more compound containing iodine anions is contained in the charge transfer layer. By combining the semiconductor fine particle-containing layer with an electrolyte containing a room temperature melting salt with high durability and high ion transfer resistance, the photoelectric conversion element having both of high photoelectric conversion characteristic and high durability is realized. By using a coloring matter having a molar absorption coefficient of 30,000 or more, photoelectric conversion characteristic can further be enhance without damaging durability. The more preferable thickness range of the semiconductor is 3-6 μm. |
