APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASUREMENT OF CHEMICAL OXYGEN DEMAND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method in which a chemical oxygen demand(COD) can be measured more simply and quickly than a COD measuring method adopted by the JIS. SOLUTION: This apparatus which measures a chemical oxygen demand is provided with a reaction part 14 in which dissolved oxygen in a solution to be measured is reacted with an organic substance in the solution to be measured. The apparatus is provided with a dissolved-oxygen measuring part 13 which is used to measure the amount of the dissolved oxygen in the solution to be measured. The apparatus is provided with a calculation part which finds the chemical oxygen demand on the basis of a measured result under a prescribed condition by the dissolved-oxygen measuring part 13.
