<p>An endless belt (10), in particular for use as a conveyor belt or drive belt, made from fibre-reinforced plastics comprises, according to the invention, at least one plastics layer (20) containing unidirectional carbon fibres (22), with a fibre content of at least 55 % by volume, which fibres (22) are oriented at an angle β in the range of -25° to +25° with respect to the circumferential direction of the belt (10). The carbon fibres (22) provide a relatively high rigidity, chemical inertia and an abitity to withstand heat compared to metal and plastics belts according to the prior art.</p> |
