LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL, ITS MANUFACTURING AND DRIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel achieving superior display by eliminating display defects due to the unevenness of liquid crystal filling in a liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: The flow of a liquid crystal material supplied at the time of forming a liquid crystal layer is controlled by a projection provided as an obstacle to suppress the unevenness of filling. That is, the liquid crystal panel is provided with a first substrate provided with a color filter, a second substrate which is arranged a prescribed gap apart from the first substrate so that its surface may face the surface of the first substrate, the liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates, and a plurality of electrodes to apply voltage to the liquid crystal layer. At least one of the first and second substrates is provided with a projecting part which controls the flow of the liquid crystal material supplied at the time of forming the liquid crystal layer on the surface facing the other substrate.
