PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cigarette pack constituted so that a support insert member, which comprises thin cardboard and surrounds a cigarette group in its surface region where bending tabs to be sealed receive heat and pressure, is provided in a cigarette block and an apparatus for manufacturing the cigarette pack. SOLUTION: In order to manufacture the (cigarette) pack having a (inside) packing material made of a heat sealable material and bending tabs mutually connected by sealing, at first, the cigarette pack is surrounded by a packing blank and, after necessary bending work is completed, the cigarette pack is supplied to a sealing turret. In this region, the bending tabs and the end wall turned outwardly in the radial direction of the bent packaging material are sealed on the lateral side going toward a side wall. |
