PURPOSE: To provide a regulator having excess repose characteristics regardless of load currents by reducing the fluctuation of a frequency band. CONSTITUTION: Currents proportional to load currents are generated by a transistor for detecting load currents connected in parallel to an output driver transistor which supplies currents to a load, and the resistance value of a variable resistance part is changed according to the currents so that frequencies at a zero point for phase compensation can fluctuate. The frequencies at the zero point for phase compensation are allowed to fluctuate according to load currents so that the fluctuation of the frequency band of a regulator can be reduced regardless of the load currents, and that excess response characteristics can be improved.
