PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation input unit of a simplified structure, which compensates for defects of both inputting through touching operations and inputting through a joystick. SOLUTION: The joystick 20 is set projecting to a central part of an input pad 16. At this time, the joystick 20 and a joystick switch 34 are disposed to load the input pad 16, and the joystick switch 34 is pressed, with respect to any pressing against the input pad 16 and pressing the joystick 20, whereby an operation determination signal is outputted.
