PURPOSE: A discharge unit in an exhaust manifold is provided to prevent the thermal deformation and the separation of a cone from a can by making high temperature exhaust gas not to directly contact with the cone and by reducing toxic substance through a monolith. CONSTITUTION: A discharge unit basically consists of a monolith(20) oxidizing exhaust gas flowing into an exhaust manifold(10), a can(30) inserted into the monolith, a cone(40) thermally deposited in the lower end of the can with a space and a flange(50) thermally deposited in the lower end of the cone to connect the cone and an exhaust pipe. Then, the cone forms a guiding face guiding exhaust gas and the space. After fuel is burned in a cylinder, exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust manifold, is oxidized by the monolith to reduce toxic substances. Exhaust gas moves down along the guiding face and reduces the temperature through the space of the cone. Then, exhaust gas is discharged through the exhaust pipe connected to the flange. The space is filled with solid stated sodium(70) to rapidly discharge exhaust heat due to the liquefaction of sodium.
