PURPOSE:To set a bit width below the width of a groove at the time writing information by a laser light and to attain a clear bit recording by boring a V shape groove for a tracking servo on one face of a transparent substrate and painting an organic coloring matter which can be bored and recorded by a laser light thick in a groove part and shallower than the depth of the groove. CONSTITUTION:The back face of the transparent substrate 6 is protected by a paint which can be separated and the V shape 3 of 0.4 micron in width, 0.12 micron in depth is bored at 1.6 micron pitch interval on the surface thereof. Then, the substrate 6 formed in such a way is vertically maintained, calmly dipped in the organic coloring matter of 3%, gradually raised to paint the coloring matter 4 on the entire face of the substrate evenly. In such away, one type of capillary phenomenon is generated to apply the coloring matter 4 thick in a bottom part in the groove 3 shallower than the depth of the groove, thereafter, the paint of the back face of the substrate 6 is separated to irradiate the laser light to the coloring matter 4 in the groove 3 from the back face of the substrate 6 by the use of a laser converging lens 1. In such a way, the laser density of the central part of the coloring matter 4 is increased. |
