PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate, a surface light source apparatus and a display which have a configuration that, without using a sheet material that corrects the directivity of emitted light, light is emitted in the front direction of an emission face and which can emit light effectively even when plural end faces roughly orthogonal to each other are used as incident faces. SOLUTION: As the distances from the end faces 15A and 15B increase, plural projections 19 are positioned on a face 15E opposing an emission face. The projections face one end face 15A (15B). Each of the projections has at least one pair of slopes that intersect to form a ridge that approaches the face 15E. Slopes 20A, which stretch roughly parallel to another end face that is roughly orthogonal to the end face 15A (15B), are also formed along the end face 15A (15B) repeatedly. |
