PURPOSE: A power supply for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) projector is provided to continuously drive a microcomputer and a fan upon temporary power-off or a momentary power failure by using a solar battery charged with the light leaking from a lamp of the LCD projector. CONSTITUTION: A solar battery unit(10) performs charging with light and heat generated in a lamp when power is being fed. A first solar battery(11) charges 5V, and a second solar battery(12) charges 3.3V. In a switching unit(20), a first relay(21) is for the switching to the first solar battery upon power off, and a second relay(22) is for the switching to the second solar battery upon power off. A control unit(30) outputs control signals to drive an LCD projector according to the switching of the switching unit. In the control unit, a first microcomputer(31) receives 5V power by a switching operation of the first relay to output a control signal, and a second microcomputer(32) receives 3.3V power by a switching operation of the second relay to output a control signal. A first and a second capacitors(C1,C2) charge input power according to on/off of the switching unit.
