PURPOSE:To perform a halftone recording, and to improve thermal mechanical strength and resistance value stability by forming a second low resistance layer to become a main heat generator by thermal diffusion on the top of a first resistive base. CONSTITUTION:A second low resistance layer 12 is formed on the top of a first high resistive base layer 11 by thermal diffusion in a heat generating transfer material. The layer 11 is formed by mixing conductive particles in a heat resistant polymer film in a range not deteriorating the mechanical strength of the resistant polymer film to impart resistivity thereto. Its surface resistance value is ranged desirably from 5 to 50kOMEGA/square. A method of forming the low resistance layer on the top of the layer by the thermal diffusion includes, for example, steps of forming metal element such as Al, Cr, Ni, Ti, Ta, NiCr, etc., on the top of the base layer by PVD method or the like such as depositing, then heat treating it to thermally diffuse all the element on the top of the layer to form the low resistance layer. |
