<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of an emergency power device used in the case of service interruption, and to reduce the installation cost and facilitate maintenance. SOLUTION: The emergency power device 10 has a casing 11 for defining a vacuum space 13 on the inside, an evacuation facility annexed to the casing 11, a flywheel device 21 installed rotatably around a vertical shaft in the vacuum space 13, a motor-generator 37 mounted between an annular supporting section 33 which is projected and disposed in upright in the vacuum space 13 from the base section of the casing 11 and the support section 29 of the flywheel device 21, a normal power device 41 secured outside the casing 11 and connected to a power system, and a frequency converter 43 which is connected to the normal power device 41 and outputting power in the case of service interruption.</p> |
