PURPOSE: A wireless telephone having a plurality of speakers and a speaker conversion control device is provided to stop the user of a high-volume speaker and operate a low-volume speaker when a user holds the wireless telephone near user's ear. CONSTITUTION: An approach sensing device(14) generates an electric signal in case that a user is approached. A CPU(28) connects to the approach sensing device(14), the low-volume speaker(24), and the high-volume speaker(22) for receiving the electric signal of the approach sensing device(14) and controls a low-volume speaker(24) or a high-volume speaker(22). The CPU(28) receives the electric signal generated in the approach sensing device(14) when the user is approached, and generates a speaker selection signal so that the operation of the high-volume speaker(22) is not performed.
