PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storable shifter having an electronic gear shift reset, with which an operator is informed of that an unsafe shift such as a shift together with a shock is not prohibited to move a lever but the required shift is not actuated. SOLUTION: A controller 26 is functionally connected to an operator interface module 21, a display 23, and a sensor 25 for detecting the prescribed vehicle condition. The structure 26 is changed to indicate by shifting a gear change, when a vehicle sensor 25 indicates that the prescribed vehicle conditions are satisfied. The controller 26 is made to reset the indication to the original mark without shifting the change gear, when the prescribed vehicle conditions are not satisfied. This constitution makes shifting by detecting not an absolute position but relative position of DIM. The shifter can be stored, and a cover 27 can be used so as to hide when in storing position. |
