PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contrivance which downloads contents, which have been temporarily erased, disappeared, or been lost on the client device side, again by a price reasonable for the client side in an information distribution method constituted of a server unit and client equipment connected via a network. SOLUTION: A server unit 1 carries out distribution of requested contents on condition of charging in response to a download request from a client equipment 2. The server unit 1 and/or the client equipment 2 holds a record of purchase of downloaded contents. The client equipment 2 refers to records of purchase to issue a request for download of contents held in records of purchase as a re-download request. When receiving the re-download request, the server unit refers to and checks records of purchase, and the server unit carries out download free of charge or with reduced price when the re-download request is a request for download of contents held in records of purchase. |
