PURPOSE: A method and device for a bookmark of an electronic telephone directory is provided to search an electronic telephone directory easily using a bookmark function. CONSTITUTION: A telephone call control unit(10) exchanges a voice and data with an opponent terminal through a switching center system. The telephone call control unit(10) telephones to a wanted telephone number based on a control of a control unit(20). A display unit(30) displays various kinds of data being generated in a terminal or an electronic telephone directory. A keypad unit(40) includes a plurality of numeral/character input keys, function keys, and keys for a telephone call for an interface with a user. A storage(70) comprises a ROM for storing a plurality of program codes, a RAM for storing processing data, and a voice memory, and stores a bookmark search program code. A telephone number database(50) stores a telephone number being inputted by a hand as an electronic telephone directory. A bookmark database(60) stores at least one telephone number selected by a user interactively.
