PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accelerated oxidation treating apparatus which secures a proper amount of ozone injection and a proper amount of irradiation with ultraviolet rays in accordance with a state of water to be treated, enhances the efficiency of decomposition of organic materials in the water to be treated, enables the effective utilization of ozone and miniaturizes the apparatus. SOLUTION: This accelerated oxidation treating apparatus 1 is provided with a treating tank 2 which has such a structure that an ozone injection area 21, an ultraviolet ray irradiation area 22 and a reaction area 23 are integrated as one body. An ozone diffuser 3 is disposed on the ozone injection area 21 and an ultraviolet ray irradiating device 4 is disposed on the ultraviolet ray irradiation area 22. The ozone injection area 21 and the ultraviolet ray irradiation area 22 are partitioned by a first partition 5, and the ultraviolet ray irradiation area 22 and the reaction area 23 are partitioned by a second partition 6, respectively. A combined diffuser cum guide plate 10 is disposed on the ultraviolet ray area 22, the combined diffuser cum guide plate 10 is connected to the treating tank 2 by an ozone return pipe 30 and the reaction area 23 and the ozone injection area 21 are connected by a waste water return pipe 32.
