PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that leakage light quantity is increased and light utilization efficiency is lowered when applied to a polygonal fly eye lens. SOLUTION: A polarized light converting optical system is provided with a hybrid lamp reflector 1b in which an outer side from a designed borderline is formed to a lamp reflector 101b of a rotary paraboloidal shape and further an optical axis Z side from the designed borderline is formed to a lamp reflector 201b of a rotary aspherical shape and with a hybrid lamp front lens 1c emitting a group of rays which are emitted from an arc center of a lamp light source 1a and are reflected by the hybrid lamp reflector 1b in parallel to the optical axis Z.
