<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screwless hinge mechanism of spectacles which is simple in construction, does not require tying up by hinge screws and is so formed that adequate opening and closing resistance can be imparted to spectacle temples. SOLUTION: The hinge mechanism furnished with a spectacle front frame 1, a bracket endpiece 2 and the temple 3 is formed by adopting the following technical means: A through-hole 21a opened in a female barrel part 21 of the bracket endpiece 2 and a fitting hole 31a of a male barrel part 31 opened in the temple 3 vary in hole diameters from each other; the female barrel part 21 and the male barrel part 31 are inserted in these holes and a resin pivot 4 is fitted in a compressed state into these parts; in addition, a recessed circumferential portion 41 is locked to the level differences by the differences in the hole diameters of the respective holes to freely rotationally movably hinge- connect the bracket endpiece 2 and the temple 3 and on the other hand, the resin pivot 4 compressed into the holes slidingly match the inner surfaces by the desired frictional resistance when the temple 3 moves to open and close.</p> |
