<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid 1 of a pipe material having an outer lid 3 and inner fitting material 4 in which the outer lid 3 and inner fitting material 4 are coupled together without a spot welding process, and also to provide a lid manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: A projection 3c is formed rigidly on the roof 3a of the outer lid 3 and inserted (or fitted) in a hole 4c (or a recess) formed in the ceiling 4a of the inner fitting material 4, and this projection 3c (or projection 3c and recess) is subjected to plastic deformation to make caulking together of the roof 3a and ceiling part 4a, and thereby the outer lid 3 and inner fitting material 4 are coupled with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
