SUPPLY CORE FOR THERMAL TRANSFER INK RIBBON AND THERMAL TRANSFER INK RIBBON ROLL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer ink ribbon roll having a thermal transfer ink ribbon wound around a supply core capable of preventing such erroneous loading that the thermal transfer ink ribbon wound around the supply core is attached to be inverted in the right and left directions when the refill type of the thermal transfer ink ribbon is used by being attached to a thermal transfer printer. SOLUTION: The supply core 1 for the thermal transfer ink ribbon is of a winding core which is so constituted that the long thermal transfer ink ribbon is wound around the core for supplying the thermal transfer ink ribbon to the thermal transfer printer. The inner shapes of the core 1 at right and left ends are different from each other. In the ink ribbon roll which is formed such that the thermal transfer ink ribbon is wound around the thermal transfer ink ribbon supply core 1, rotary driving sections 5, 6 at the side of the thermal transfer printer are fitted to the ends 2, 3 of the supply core 1. The thermal transfer recording is performed by rotating the thermal transfer ink ribbon roll to convey the thermal transfer ink ribbon. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
