PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reforming weatherstrip so that an appearance or selability is hardly lowered, a curved shape as a target can be accurately formed and an unevenness of a product shape is reduced. SOLUTION: The method for reforming the weatherstrip includes the step of reforming the weatherstrip 10 made of a rubber and having a pair of lips 18, 20 for fastening an opening edge or a closure 1 of a vehicle body at a mounting base 12 to a state in which a predetermined weatherstrip part is curved. The method further comprises the steps of forming the base 12 of the weatherstrip part by blending a thermoplastic resin with the base rubber, filling a filler 30 having flexibility between the lips 18 and 20 of the base 12 of the weatherstrip part, mounting the weatherstrip part of the filled state at a mold 40 by curving, heating the weatherstrip part in the mounted state, and removing the filler 30 between the lips 18 and 20 after heating.
