<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the communication performance of a system by reducing the number of times of suppressing by efficiently suppressing to a terminal in an optical communication system. <P>SOLUTION: If there is a data transmission from a terminal when a temporary storage means for temporarily storing is fully occupied until transmission data from the terminal 4 is transmitted to a master unit 1, a slave unit 3 suppresses the data transmission of the terminal by a continued suppressing signal during a period until the temporary storage means becomes free. If the slave unit is occupied in the temporary storage means, the data transmission of the terminal is suppressed by the continued suppressing signal irrespective of the presence or absence of the data transmission from the terminal. When the data optically transmitted by itself is returned to the other slave unit by the master unit or the data transmission exists from the terminal, the data transmission of the terminal is suppressed by the continued suppressing signal irrespective of the presence or absence of the data transmission from the terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
