FIELD: mechanical engineering; lifting and transportation facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for gripping and holding small-size scrap and ferromagnetic materials chips. Proposed grab consists of housing and movable magnetic circuit hinge-interconnected by means of grips-claws. Field coil is placed inside grab housing. Movable magnetic circuit is essentially open system consists of core and outer pole installed coaxially with core, and field coil. Housing is provided with device for suspending grab from crane mechanism. In initial state, grips-claws are moved apart through maximum width owing to weight of movable magnetic circuit. Grab is set into action after lowering onto load to be lifted when supply voltage is fed to both field coils. Movable magnetic circuit is attracted to housing, building common enlarged magnetic working field. Grips-claws close dipping into material and thus increasing additionally amount of held load. With supply switched off, housing of grab and movable magnetic circuit de-energize, magnetic circuit lowers, grips-claws open to release held material. EFFECT: increased gripping capacity of grab at minimum service expenses. 2 cl, 1 dwg |
