INFORMATION PROVIDING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system which can efficiently provide information to unspecified public, in which the advertisement most suitable for a passer-by can be provided.

SOLUTION: Personal data stored in a portable telephone 20 or an IC card 22 carried by the passer-by are collected by an IC card reader 26 or a receiver 28 so that the data on the age and the distinction of sex of the passer-by are collected so as to be supplied to a server 12. The server 12 categorizes the passer-by, by the collected data, in which the advertisement data that agree with the constitution of the age and the constitution of the distinction of sex of the passer-by are selected so as to be supplied to and displayed on a display device 18. Accordingly, the proper information according to the constitution of the number of persons of the public can be supplied.
